Nalonchem participates in the Aviles Port Authority´s STEAM career program

Nalonchem (Quimica del Nalon) participates in the Avilés Port Authority’s STEAM career program, with he local community.

To that end, Deganta Aguas -a subsidiary of Nalonchem- hosted a visit by 48 students from Avilés Secondary School No. 5, accompanied by three teachers.

The visit -guided by managers from the industrial water treatment plant- allowed the students to tour the facilities located on the former site of the Avilés battery park.

The visit served to inspire interest in STEAM fields, as well as to address questions from the participating students who will soon face the choice between the various existing academic tracks for both vocational training and high school.

The students learned about Deganta’s participation in the #AvilésIndustriaCircular project, developed by Asturian Federation of Entrepreneurs (FADE and the Avilés City Council to study new developments in the circular economy, particularly regarding water circularity and reuse.
