Nalonchem (Quimica del Nalon) -spanish carbochemical company- hosted a workshop on good practices in Occupational Health and Safety for the community of companies of the Asturian Quality Club, certified according to ISO 45001, focused on preventive improvements in industrial health and safety.
The conference, which took place on 18 October at the company’s plant in Trubia (Oviedo), was attended by managers and technicians from the company to explain to the participants the good practices implemented by Nalonchem for the continuous improvement of health and safety prevention in the operations of its plants.
Likewise, the panels and workshops served to deepen the cultural change that implies approaching preventive action in industrial health and safety with an integral perspective, which requires awareness through preventive safety observations, the real and practical application of regulations in rules that save lives, the application of advanced analytical techniques of industrial hygiene in the field of exposure to carcinogens and its new applicable regulations, as well as preventive training through regular communications of good habits at work, among many others.
Nalonchem is highly committed to complying with the Law on Occupational Risk Prevention and has implemented a proactive occupational risk prevention system to ensure health and safety conditions at work with the aim of integrating them into our overall management of the company with the goal of zero accidents and zero occupational illnesses.
Thus, since 2003, it has had the ISO 45001 standard for Occupational Risk Prevention Management for the production centres in Trubia and Langreo, as well as for the logistics area in San Juan de Nieva (Avilés). The company has also had the same certification since 2005 for the logistics centre in Szczecin (Poland).
